The production of blind boxes by K-system involves processing alloy plates with a thickness of 1.5 mm, which are also used in the automotive and aerospace industries. The best solution – elimination of thermal bridges by using Styrodur

Styrodur (XPS – extruded polystyrene) is often used as insulation for aluminum blind boxes because it has good thermal insulating properties and high strength. The back side of the box in the façade area is most commonly covered with Styrodur, interrupting the thermal bridge. However, Styrodur can be used around the entire box to enhance the thermal efficiency of the whole structure. If you want a strong and durable insulation for the aluminum box, Styrodur is the right and cost-effective choice. Advantages of combining the blind box and Styrodur:

• Low thermal conductivity – insulates better than conventional EPS (expanded polystyrene).
