PS Ideal insect window screens

The frame of the screen is made of extruded aluminum with high dimensional stability. The Ideal screen flange has a 12 mm rim. It is suitable for installation from inside the room, and when installing the Ideal profile screen, there is no need to drill into the window frame. The screen is typically mounted using rotating eccentric fasteners, allowing it to be disassembled at any time without the use of tools. The corners of the screen are joined using internal aluminum corner connectors, and the corners are cut at a 45° angle. In addition to standard profile colors and wood imitation profiles, the profiles can be color-matched according to the RAL color chart. For widths or heights above 1600 mm, the manufacturer recommends using a crossbar, which ensures perfect tensioning of the mesh and also reinforces the frame to prevent rotation due to the tensioned mesh.

K-system offers several types of mesh materials.

The standard mesh is made from plastic-coated fiberglass. The UV-stable plastic coating ensures color durability and an attractive appearance. The mesh in gray and black colors is fire-resistant and weather-resistant. The mesh size is 1.65 x 1.5 mm with a fiber thickness of 0.28 mm (± 0.05 mm). The light transmission is approximately 68%. Based on previous experience, the black mesh offers better visibility to the exterior.

The BetterVue^® mesh is supplied as standard in black color.

The UltraVue2^® mesh is a unique black mesh that significantly outperforms transparent mesh and BetterVue^® in its properties. UltraVue2 mesh is designed for improved durability, increased airflow, and easy maintenance. The durable, hydrophobic coating will never wash off, allowing for an uninterrupted, clear view even during rain. UltraVue2 mesh enhances light permeability in windows with low-E glass.

Both BetterVue^® and UltraVue2^® meshes are made using the patented Water Shed Technology™ to maintain a clear optical view and extend the lifespan of the mesh. Thanks to a special surface treatment, water and dirt do not accumulate in the mesh openings. This provides a brilliant view, higher airflow compared to standard mesh, and more natural light. The Tuffscreen^® Heavy-Duty Mesh Screen replaces the previously used Petscreen and is designed for those who need a stronger and more durable insect screen. Tuffscreen^® mesh is made from polyester fiber coated with a vinyl layer and is the most durable mesh on the market. It is three times stronger than standard fiberglass mesh and doesn't need to be replaced as often. Maximum and Minimum Dimensions

Ideal insect screens require no special maintenance. The standard mesh is sensitive to mechanical damage, so handle the screen with care. It is not necessary to dismantle the screen during the winter. However, if you decide to remove it for the winter, store it unburdened in a flat and dry place. The mesh can be vacuumed or wiped with a damp cloth, and the frame can be cleaned with a cloth soaked in water with detergent.
